| 2005 Flounder Fling
Every year during the Galveston Flounder Run we host a ladies- and members-only flounder tournament. This year the tournament was held on November 18 - 19, 2005.
Our tournament events kicked off with a seminar on Flounder Fishing presented by Phil Ortiz from Flounder Pounder lures. And the next day was all about catching the flounder. With 85 ladies signed up to fish, the competition was fierce to say the least. The weigh in was one of the best yet with some real beauties brought to the weigh table.
With the help of Boudreaux's on the Bayou (Galveston), our weighmaster Fritz Hiser, Phil Ortiz, and the TLA members that stepped up to organize the tournament, all of the events were one that none of us will soon forget.
